1. Product Overview
MVME715P is a dedicated VME digital I/O transition slave board serving as IndustryPack IP carrier, exclusively matched with Motorola’s mainstream VME single board computers (legacy MC68K MVME162 series and later PowerPC MVME5100/MVME5500). It cannot operate independently and must be controlled by host SBC via VMEbus. The board integrates 32-channel isolated digital input and 32-channel isolated digital output, with full channel-to-channel galvanic isolation to eliminate industrial ground loop interference. It provides front-panel DB25 external wiring terminals for field 24VDC sensor/valve connection, and dedicated VME P2 rear connector to link with SBC’s IndustryPack expansion slot. All DI/DO circuits adopt self-resetting polyfuse overcurrent protection, reverse polarity input protection and ESD surge suppression, adapting to harsh DCS cabinet environments. It supports interrupt triggering on signal edge change and DMA block transmission to reduce host CPU I/O load, widely deployed for valve status feedback, switch interlock, alarm signal collection and on-site actuator driving in Honeywell TDC3000 distributed control systems.
